Tim Silvestre, joined Strategic Law Partners, LLP in 2007 as a partner. His practice currently focuses on mergers and acquisitions, senior executive compensation matters and corporate governance. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1984.
Tim began private practice at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he worked with SLP founder, Brad Schwartz, in the corporate department of that firm’s Los Angeles office for a number of years. Tim then became an equity partner at Los Angeles corporate boutique Riordan & McKinzie (now a part of Morgan Lewis), representing issuers and investors in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings and public offerings. He later joined Santa Monica-based, InterPacket Networks, Inc., as a senior executive officer where he successfully negotiated the sale of InterPacket to American Tower Corp. (NYSE:AMT).
Tim received his JD in 1984 from the UCLA School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the UCLA Law Review. Tim attended Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii with President Barack Obama, and graduated from Tufts University in 1981 with a BA in History, magna cum laude. Tim is very active in youth sports and coached his two children, Alden and Catalina-Claire, for a number of years in recreational basketball, soccer and baseball. Alden and CC currently attend Palisades Charter High School in Pacific Palisades.
